Inspired by vintage charm, dreamy beach towns, and the ease of summer days, Shells and Roses was founded by Olesya Shayda, a longtime Sag Harbor LoveShackFancy girlie who shares a kindred spirit with LoveShackFancy: vintage-inspired nostalgia, handcrafted detail, and romantic femininity. These sentiments show up in every delicate detail. Handcrafted in Montauk, each Shells and Roses piece is a little treasure and feels like traveling to your favorite beach town, a first kiss, a grandmother’s charm box, or a sunset. For Shayda, designing jewelry was never just about adornment. “It’s about capturing a feeling, happiness and an easy going beach lifestyle,” she says. Her design process is slow, intentional, and rooted in storytelling. The result is a line that’s romantic yet wearable, whimsical yet grounded. A baroque pearl bracelet named “Cecelia.” A pearl-drop earring called “Holli Baroque.” A pastel rainbow bracelet titled “Rainbow Tide.” Each with its own story. Each designed to feel personal and timeless.
This month, the brand shows at LoveShackFancy through a series of trunk shows at select boutiques, including Southampton and Manhasset. The pairing feels fated. Like LoveShackFancy, Shells and Roses began as a side-hustle, built on passion, belief, and a dream. “Ever since my grandmother taught me how to sew and embroider when I was four, I knew I wanted to create something of my own,” says Shayda. “But it wasn’t until late 2022 that I finally left my safe, salaried 9-to-5 and stepped into the unknown. That’s when Shells and Roses was really born.”
With Shells and Roses sitting alongside LoveShackFancy ruffles and lace, it’s safe to say: summer never looked so pretty.
