Timeless Celebrations At Home
As if always meant to be, we celebrated our 10th anniversary in the garden of my family home, exactly where we married ten years ago. We hosted an intimate ceremony in a small and meaningful way with our dearest family and friends.
Getting Ready
Like my wedding day, my mom dressed me, along with my daughter Scarlett.
The Ceremony
As the garden has evolved over the past decade, so has our love. For the ceremony, our girls walked me down the aisle carrying baskets and parasols from our actual wedding.
The Vows
With all my heart, I do, again, and again, and again, forever. Officiated by my best friend Dean, Todd and I stood under the same arbor where we first exchanged vows and recommitted our lives to each other. With our daughters by our side, this was one of the most incredible moments of my life.
The Bouquet Toss
After the ceremony, I threw the bouquet, and Julia caught it!
Lace, Dresses Forever
Stained at the hem from my wedding, I never washed my original Monique Lhuillierdress. As an update, we added a lace patch with a corset, and I wore this beloved piece for the ceremony.
After the vows and champagne toast, I changed into the Viviana dress. This stunning era-inspired dress is based on a vintage Edwardian piece and the heroine of our first LoveShackFancy Bridal collection.
My mom wore her original wedding dress from the 80s, and the girls wore Loveshackfancy little tops, tulle skirts, and our Victorian dresses.
The Setting
After the ceremony, we toasted in The Dining Shed—a new addition to the garden and central hub of everything we do creatively. Under a vintage chandelier, the table was set with a simple spread and champagne tower.
Guests meandered at a social distance around The Dining Shed and felt comfortable being outside without masks.
To avoid group seating, we created several small moments throughout the garden, including a seated table for six on the deck, one under the tree with a chandelier, and one in The Dining Shed.
Missi's gorgeous, understated arrangements composed of local flowers, roses, and Baby's'-breath reflected a simple palette of whites and greens. The flowers graced the tables alongside our favorite family photos atop our beautiful LoveShackFancy lace tablecloths and runners.
The Guests
The beauty of these intimate gatherings is the ability to spend time with the people you love. In attendance were friends that feel like family, Julia Roitfeld and her daughter Romy, Pamela and Ryan Tick, Dean Isidro, and his fiance Nicholas Ralph Holder, plus, our girls, and parents.
Golden Hour
With everyone dressed in our LoveShackFancy Bridal Collection, we ran barefoot through the fields at sunset.
A quiet moment as husband and wife, before a simple dinner of fried chicken and paella, our Summer favorites.
